Reconstitution Guide
Concentration logic, input verification and a direct path into the syringe-draw calculator.LAST REVIEWED 2026-09-13The concentration relationship
Concentration equals vial amount divided by final liquid volume. A target dose divided by concentration gives draw volume. On a U-100 insulin syringe, 100 units represents 1 mL; the units are volume markings, not milligrams.
Three records to keep separate
A study protocol, a product vial and a reconstitution instruction are different evidence objects. Do not assume a study's dose establishes a product's preparation instructions, or that one vendor's vial applies to another.
Before calculating
Verify the vial label, diluent, final volume, intended route and source. Do not use Femetric to infer sterility, stability or compatibility. If any input is uncertain, pause the calculation.
