Syringe Guide
U-100 markings, capacity, increments and why syringe units are not dose units.LAST REVIEWED 2026-09-13Read capacity first
A 30-unit U-100 syringe holds 0.30 mL, a 50-unit syringe holds 0.50 mL and a 100-unit syringe holds 1.00 mL. Marking increments vary by product; verify the package and barrel.
Units describe volume
For U-100 markings, 1 syringe unit equals 0.01 mL. The mass contained in that volume depends entirely on concentration.
| U-100 marking | Volume |
|---|---|
| 1 unit | 0.01 mL |
| 10 units | 0.10 mL |
| 30 units | 0.30 mL |
| 50 units | 0.50 mL |
| 100 units | 1.00 mL |
Choose precision deliberately
Small target volumes may be hard to measure reliably. Femetric's low-dose zoom helps visualize marks but does not make an unsuitable syringe more precise.
