A 30-unit U-100 syringe holds 0.30 mL, a 50-unit syringe holds 0.50 mL and a 100-unit syringe holds 1.00 mL. Marking increments vary by manufacturer, so the package and barrel must be checked.
Syringe units describe volume
On U-100 markings, one unit represents 0.01 mL. It does not represent one milligram or one microgram. Mass depends on the solution concentration.

Precision has a physical limit
